After your application and transcript are reviewed, you will be invited via your ARC email to submit medical documents and a criminal background check with fingerprints. These next steps include:
- Submit a Physical Exam completed on the ARC Health History form (instructions will follow — do not do this now)

- Submit proof of annual Influenza Vaccination (instructions will follow — do not do this now)
- Criminal Background Check (CBC) and fingerprinting (instructions will follow — do not do this now)
Only 15 students can be selected for each course. We will proceed with the first 15 applications that successfully provide all required documents.
- The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has a time restriction on the physical exam and fingerprints.
- You need our specific ARC forms to document your physical exam and for state fingerprinting requirements.
- Fingerprinting and Live Scan is offered during the 1st Day of Course/Orientation Day (Monday, August 24th, 2026). Please note that if a negative criminal background check is revealed (usually takes 4–8 weeks), you could be dropped from the course. If you have been convicted of an offense, review the list of disqualifying Penal Codes on the CDPH website.
