Frequently Asked Questions

After your application and transcript are reviewed, you will be invited via your ARC email to submit medical documents and a criminal background check with fingerprints. These next steps include:

  1. Submit a Physical Exam completed on the ARC Health History form (instructions will follow — do not do this now)
  2. Submit a negative TB test (PPD) result (instructions will follow — do not do this now)
  3. Submit proof of annual COVID-19 Vaccination (instructions will follow — do not do this now)
  4. Submit proof of annual Influenza Vaccination (instructions will follow — do not do this now)
  5. Criminal Background Check (CBC) and fingerprinting (instructions will follow — do not do this now)

Only 15 students can be selected for each course. We will proceed with the first 15 applications that successfully provide all required documents.

  1. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has a time restriction on the physical exam and fingerprints.
  2. You need our specific ARC forms to document your physical exam and for state fingerprinting requirements.
  3. Fingerprinting and Live Scan is offered during the 1st Day of Course/Orientation Day (Monday, August 24th, 2026). Please note that if a negative criminal background check is revealed (usually takes 4–8 weeks), you could be dropped from the course. If you have been convicted of an offense, review the list of disqualifying Penal Codes on the CDPH website.

Once your application and medical documents are confirmed, you will be notified via email with a permission to add to course number. You will need to register and pay tuition by June 30th, 2026.

Any unfilled seats on June 30th will be filled by students on the waiting list. We cannot hold registration slots, which is why we publish all deadline dates early so each applicant is aware in advance.

No. Our forms may be similar to other programs, but to ensure you meet all State requirements you must use the ARC forms that will be attached in the email sent to you.

You can choose to go to the ARC Student Health & Wellness Center and/or Concentra for your physical exam with an ARC student discount. The ARC Health & Wellness Center offers TB (PPD) tests for $5.00 and physical exam referrals for $30.00. Call to make an appointment: 916-484-8383.

You will receive an email stating that all submitted documents are complete, along with a timeline for advancing to Steps 6 and 7 (registration and student badge pickup). If any information is missing from your documents, you will not be invited to advance. We recommend thoroughly reviewing all documents before submitting.
